As the world grapples with the double jeopardy of the COVID-19 pandemic and the collective trauma of ongoing racial tension, we remain steadfast in our commitment to advocate for gender equity and racial justice. Advocating for equality empowers marginalized groups of people to be active participants in their communities. At I AM A LEADER, we know that when you advocate for those with less opportunity, you are truly helping everyone.
Through events, our website, newsletters, and social media platforms, I AM A LEADER highlights historically underrepresented perspectives in corporate leadership, education, and public service to amplify unheard voices to influence the workplace, marketplace, and public service sectors. The purpose of our advocacy efforts center around changing the frameworks and systems, as well as the underlying social and cultural norms that perpetuate inequality and discrimination, to support an enabling environment for equality and promote marginalized groups.
